Prayer for Paradise on Earth

Great God of Light

we behold Your plan unfolding whereby all spiritual clouds

are dispelled, impurity and error cleansed from the realms of

spirit and matter.


The age of Light and Joy is being born; through Your infinite

compassion misguided forces waken unto truth, and negative

practices cease, while forces of light unhindered restore the

world to peace.


All of nature receives Your loving influence and finds its

rightful place. Peaceful clouds move across brilliant skies,

and the fragrance of countless flowers floats upon the air.


Abundant harvests glorify the earth, every corner filled

with happy voices. Boundaries between countries vanish

and ancient conflicts disappear as if dreams.


All people are united, encircled by Your light and guided

by Your wisdom. Through service to humanity, all are

blessed with health, peace and prosperity.


Great God of Light, strengthen us with courage and

wisdom to follow Your will and realize Paradise

on Earth.

Gratitude to Mother Earth,sailing through night and day -

Her soil is rare, rich, sweet, in our minds - so be it.

Gratitude to Plants, the sun facing light-changing leaf and fine root hair standing still through wind and rain their dance is in the flowing spiral grain in our minds -so be it.

Gratitude to Air, bearing the soaring swift and silent owl at dawn breath of our sun clear spirit being in our minds -so be it.

Gratitude to Wild Beings, our sisters teaching secrets, freedoms, ways who share with us their milk, self-complete, brave, aware in our minds - so be it.

Gratitude to Water; clouds, lakes rivers, glaciers; holding or releasing; streaming through our bodies salty seas, in our minds - so be it.

Gratitude to the Sun; blinding pulsing light through trunks of trees through mists, warming caves where bears and snakes sleep - He who wakens us in our minds - so be it

Gratitude to the Great Sky who holds billions of stars - goes yet beyond that beyond all powers and thoughts and yet is within us Grandfather Space, the Mind is his wife. So be it.

Great God of Light I speak to You first in Thanks;

The gifts I have received, the Life that I live the

Earth that I walk on, I have you to thank for.

What I really want out of life is to be happy!

You know best what it is that will make me truly

happy, so I leave it in your hands.

Show me what I should do and how I should

live.

Show me why I'm here, and the work that is

mine, help me to see how I can serve, what I

should do. Help me to be what you need me to be

aid me in this quest not to swell my pride

The Traditionalist Hopi Do

The following prayer was read to the UN General Assembly

and to the UN Peoples Assembly. By examining it, you will see

what kinds of things they focus on when they turn to the Creator.

If you have difficulty deciding what to pray about, or how to go

about prayer, this prayer and the following supplications should

help you.

'Great Spirit and all unseen, this day we pray and ask You for

guidance, humbly we ask You to help us and fellowmen to

have recourse to peaceful ways of life, because of controlled

deceitfulness by humankind.

Help us all to love, not hate one another.

We ask you to be seen in an image of Love and Peace.

Let us be seen in beauty, the colors of the rainbow.

We respect our Mother, the plant, with our loving care,

for from Her breast we receive our nourishment.

Let us not listen to the voices of the two-hearteds,

the destroyers of mind, the haters and self-made leaders,

whose lusts for power and wealth will lead us into

confusion and darkness.

Seek visions always of world beauty, not violence nor battle-

field. It is our duty to pray always for harmony between man

and earth, so that earth will bloom once more.

Let us show our emblem of love and good will for all life and

land. Pray for the House of Glass, for within it are minds clear

and pure as ice and mountain streams.

Pray for the great leaders of nations in the House of Mica who

in their own quiet ways help keep the earth in balance.

We pray the Great Spirit that one day our Mother Earth will

be purified into a healthy peaceful one.

Let us sing for strength of wisdom with all nations for the

good of the people.

Our hope is not yet lost, purification must occur to restore the

health of our Mother Earth for lasting peace and happiness.

Heavenly Father

I come before you with Thanks and Gratitude

for blessings beyond number.

I owe everything I have and am to You!

I wish to be a source of joy to you and need your

help to attain this.

I need your guidance, for the path that brings

joy to you is difficult for me to see and even more

difficult to stay on.

This beautiful world that you have provided

us with as a home seems to be having problems.

I pray, please show me how I can help!

People are suffering and dying, the animals

and plants are disappearing. Water everywhere

is unfit to drink and the oceans are suffering.

Great Spirit, Mother, Father God

I feel so fortunate to be here at this time,

a time when communication with you seems

so much easier, not having to wonder is this

or that the right thing to do in Gods eyes, but

being able to ask and knowing you will give

or show me the answer. Thank you!

For so long I didn't hear you because I

didn't expect to hear you because I didn't

believe I was worthy. I have come, slowly, to

understand worthy is in my mind not yours.

I can understand and try to give all creatures

love and compassion, but have a hard time

accepting your love and compassion, trained

as I've been that we must work for things

and gain them through our efforts. Your

love to me is of such value that I feel I must

prove myself to you through great works of

faith and service. Help me to see this as it

is, to stop seeing love and compassion as

a commodity to be weighed and measured.

Help me to give of myself, to you, the earth

all of life, not just expecting nothing in return

but not caring, Help me to strip away this

blockage and help the love to flow freely in

me.
