Miracles

I have been guided to do a page concerning miracles We

invite you to share the miracles in your life with us and

we'll share ours with you.

I will begin the work with a beautiful teaching from

Mokichi Okada( the founder of Johrei)

Throughout the history of mankind, written records attest

to the fact that faith and miracles are inseparably related.

A religion in which no miracles ever occur cannot be called

a true religion. However beautiful and elaborate its rituals

may be, it has no value as a religion if its followers never

experience miracles.

It is God Who performs miracles, and not man. When

an overwhelming blessing or a wonderous response to

a prayer is experienced, the event is generally considered

a miracle. Through this kind of action, a person is moved

to feel deep, reverent gratitude and a faith so strong he is

protected from misfortune. By having such an experience

he learns the priceless value of true faith. One personal

experience is worth a hundred theories.

from the "Teachings of Meishu-Sama"

In the Johrei fellowship miracles are shared on a regular basis and

you hear about many every month. A friend from Boston had a lot

of Johrei miracles written down, he wanted to share them with us.

A member came out of a bank and unknowingly dropped the $2000

she was carrying. When she finally noticed, she prayed to God and

Meishu Sama for help. Suddenly she saw loose bills flying all around

her. This was at a public park where we saw her pick up the money.

Nothing was missing, she recovered all the money.

I was giving Johrei to a seventy year old man when suddenly a

sunflower seed-sized piece of green glass came out of his forehead.

There was no blood. We were both suprised! He told me that fifty

years earlier someone had broken a beer bottle on his forehead

and the spot had always been a little itchy. Little did he know

that a piece of glass was still there.

One summer I volunteered to be a camp counselor at a Johrei Youth

Camp. When we arrived at the camp, one of the little girls was informed

that her father, who had been ill, had passed away. She went home

and the rest of us stayed for the weekend. I took notice of and paid

attention to an eccentric ten-year-old named Donny. After camp we

all returned and attended the girls father's funeral. Donny and I were

the last two people to arrive.

As soon as we entered the room. Donny exclaimed, "I see him, I see

him. He's floating in the air over the casket. (Donny had never met

the little girls father.) Donny said," He wants me to tell you something"

He says, "I'm very happy now" He says, "I've seen heaven and I'm

going there because of all the Johrei I received while I was in the

hospital. But I can't go there until you all stop crying for me,

because your crying is holding me back." He says, Thank you for

your prayers, but please stop crying for me." He says," I'm happy

now.

This is the true story of my friend Pete.
I recently took him to see the movie "Patch Adams".
We had a moving experience! When you read Pete's
story that I pasted below, you will see why.
Hope you enjoy Pete's miracle...

Sept.23, 1996,
I checked into a hotel to commit
suicide. Tired suddenly but at peace,
I lay on the bed and fell asleep.
Waking confused, an inner voice told me
to call my psychiatrist.

Dialing the number I knew well,
having no idea what to say, I got the "wrong number."
For a reason unknown to me then,
I said I was trying to contact Dr. B; she said:
"You wont believe this but he is standing right here!"
He got me to the hospital and en route,
God spoke to my heart: be honest, do what you learn,
you deserve to live and be happy,
I love you just as you are-unconditionally;
your life was saved by a miracle of God-tell it,
and I have work for you in the mental hospital.

WOW! After a few days in recovery from the major
depression which had plagued my life so many years,
a young woman was admitted and walked down the hall
toward me. I knew I was to talk to her
so I waited and she walked up to me and asked:
"How did you get here?"

So-I told her my miracle. As I did,
she stopped shaking and crying, smiled and at the end
laughed and hugged me. Looking wonderingly,
she asked another question:
"Do you think God could do a miracle for me too?"
"I am sure of it." Some other young patients
came by and I introduced her and they swooped her up
for a card game to her great delight; and mine; and His.

The miracles continue for me each day of my new life.
Know anyone who could use a miracle?
Love, Peter

When I was a teenager, I suffered from chronic appendicitis

attacks which Johrei is supposed to clear rather easily. I

made a practice of channeling to myself while I was in school.

Then one day the pain just evaporated. All the toxins must

have been dispelled and I no longer had any more attacks.
